### Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) TITLE 32, Position Description Number D1100000 and is part of the NC 60th TC, National Guard ( 732nd FSC HIMARS/ 12446-04L ).

### Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Assistant (MIL), GS-0203-06 you will be responsible for military personnel and administrative work for the unit; advise supervisor of administrative eligibility requirements for personnel applying for training courses; provides regulatory information and completes documentation required for actions such as fraudulent enlistment, involuntary order to active duty, conviction of military personnel by civilian authority, State Military Code violations; primary source of guidance/assistance to the unit commander and other members of the unit on military personnel matters; ensure the unit commander is advised of important changes in administrative/ personnel regulations or directives; initiate/complete personnel actions for the unit; complete enlisted efficiency reports; assist unit leadership and members in the completion and processing of individual enlisted promotion packets; prepare and submit payrolls for inactive and active duty training including uniform allowances, supplemental/incapacitation payrolls; research and corrects pay discrepancies; post publications, maintains files, posts updates, and changes; function as the unit file manager; prepare a variety of reports, or correspondence, pertaining to unit status and operations such as strength reports, unit record of reserve training, replies to inspection reports and inquiries; receive and distribute incoming mail; assist, as required, in training administration for the unit; contact organizations or individuals to arrange for use of facilities such as, small arms ranges, for training; assist in maintaining working relationships with local officials, clubs, etc., for a variety of purposes such as armory security coordination with police, suitability investigations, armory rental, unit participation in celebrations, or fund raising drives; assist in completing supply transactions for the unit in the absence of the Supply NCO/Technician; perform recruiting duties to maintain the unit at authorized strength; in the absence of a janitorial staff, works with other assigned full time support personnel to care for, clean, and maintain the National Guard Armory, including lawn care and general user maintenance.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
### Qualifications
Military Grades : Enlisted (E7 and below)
Compatible Military Assignments : 42, 92
Minimum Requirements: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 9 months experience, education or training that provided knowledge of general office work which may include but is not limited to: answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail and maintaining records. Experience following oral or written instructions to accomplish work. Experience establishing and retrieving files and information. Experience using common computer software designed for word processing.
Substitution of Education for specialized experience: Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
