The spun operator will rotate and operate between four different machines that produce similar yarn package products.
The operators can work individually or in teams of two depending on the machine and production levels.
Work tasks include creeling and doffing yarn packages, threading up machines, and repairing broken yarn ends as needed.

The operator supplies the machine with yarn packages by placing them from yarn buggies or packing cartons onto pucks located on the conveyor belt.
After the yarn package is in position, the operator will hand strip extra yarn and discard the waste in a plastic bin.

This is a 3rd shift position (8-hour shifts) Monday-Friday 12am to 8am.
Are you qualified for the position? Remove yarn package from buggy, remove sock from package and place onto conveyor puck.
Remove excess yarn from package by hand and discard.
Press foot pedal to allow puck to travel down conveyor belt.
Remove empty springs from puck and place into plastic bin.
Patrol machine and repair broken ends as needed.
Remove cone from holders and place into cradle.
Thread winding machine as needed.
After packages complete their winding process, turn cradle handle so package disengages and rolls onto conveyor.
Doff completed packages onto pin cart.
Pick up and remove yarn package from pallet or yarn buggy and place onto conveyor puck.
Remove sock from package if required and place sock into bin.
Remove excess yarn from package by hand and discard into bin.
Engage electric eye with hand to allow puck to travel down conveyor belt.
Remove empty springs from puck and place into plastic bin.
Patrol eight machines one time per shift and flag spindles that are defective.
