3 Quick Apply Full-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description Are you factual & data oriented? Are you bored of working the same long project day in and day out? This position is responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements for one business unit as well as calculating return on assets on all projects and cash management for that unit.
Oversight responsibility for additional business units in addition to direct responsibility for the credit and AR for all businesses has three to five direct reports in the finance function.
Essential Functions Serve as member of Leadership Team and ensure Finance Function executes and supports strategy of business Provides direct supervision and mentoring of personnel which includes A/R, A/P, and inventory.
Ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory transactions posted timely, correctly.
Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures:
ensure team members adhere to policies and procedures Safeguard assets and assures accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing discipline of internal audits, controls and checks across departments.
Responsible for month end closing process of accounting department including account reconciliations, billings, accruals, fixed asset depreciation schedules and maintenance schedules.
Responsible for bank compliance reporting Responsible for cash flow and operating lines of credit management Oversees and/or provides monthly financial statement and general ledger analysis Maintains compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Coordinates financial reporting with outside accounting firm including year-end information for tax preparation, manage/lead the external audit process.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance Oversees records on ERP system, including check writing and monthly reconciliation, for owner's adjacent business.
Prepares management reports for payback on new projects and tracks return monthly thereafter including new locations, potential acquisitions and loaned equipment Analyze and investigate balance sheet and income statement vs budget and prior periods, report on variances Analyze workload of the team and restructure roles and responsibilities accordingly Consistently review processes in ERP systems to address issues with the business and IT function Analyze customer and business unit profitability - assist in developing goals and measuring progress against goals Tracks annual capital budget including monthly reporting to management team.
